Ada Okafor is a very adventurous girl who saved a lost boy at the famous Calabar festival. It pays to have compassion.
Ada at the carnival by Kareen Hewitt –
If you are looking for a story that will help you understand more about West African history and culture, then Ada at the Carnival is for you. Pick up a copy of this book at your local library or bookstore! Ada and some of her friends experienced the biggest annual West African Street party in the City of Calabar. Her gallant efforts, and those of the Curious Seven, will teach and help readers settle on good choices. I enjoyed this book and found the storytelling to be quite interesting. The author did a great job of drawing readers in through dialogue and suspense. The characters and plot are well-developed. The illustrations are quite impressive, and the color scheme matches the West African storyline. I love how relatable and aesthetically pleasing the pictures appear. More of these drawings would add to the reader’s delight.

Ada at the Carnival by Nkechi Anya is an interesting read. It’s set in the city of Calabar at the carnival. It is beautifully laced with moral lessons and quite expository too.
